About Me
My interest in ceramics started back in my high school art classes. I always preferred three dimensional work and it was there that I had my first chance to throw a pot on the wheel. I ended up graduating college with a BA in Studio Art, and took every opportunity to spend time in the ceramics studio. After working several different jobs and then staying home with my three kids the time finally felt right to get back to what I love. Four years later, I am still happily working out of my little studio in my basement and splitting my time between ceramics and mom duties.
I like to make pieces that are simple and timeless. I love patterns and texture and incorporate those elements into many of my pieces. It is equally as important that the piece functions and feels right to the user. Whether that be the lip of a bowl or the shape of a handle - good design is in the details!
